Sparta Nottingham WFC was founded in 1994 and was aimed at giving city women
from the ages of 16+ the chance to play competitive football.

We invited all abilities to train and play on a sunday at our then home ground of
Wilford Sports Complex (now the new Nottingham Forest Academy).

Our most memorable season saw us finish 2nd in the division in 1999/2000 and
we were promoted to the Premier Division. We were also runners up in the
County Cup of that year playing at Pride Park in Derby for the final.

Since then we have had a steady flow of progression.

One thing has remained throughout the years, our Spartan Courage!
